On Saturday 27th June we went to Wroxham & Cromer, we were exploring the Norfolk Broads and the Norfolk coast.
At the begining we arrived al Wroxham that is considered to be the capital of the Norfolk Broads and is the perfect place for boat hire.
The Broads were formed when the people dug for peat in Medieval times and then they were later flooded. The Victorians used them for transporting heavy loads but nowadays they are here purely for pleasure. We had the chance to a guided boat tour of the Broads, we relaxed and enjoyed the beautiful scenary. Along the waterway we saw a lot of tradicionally and nice cottages. From our boat we saw some cheerful and kind people who always wave to us.
After that, we went to Cromer, it is an attractive North Norfolk seaside town famous for its Cromer crab which forms the main sources of income for the local fisherman. The town´s main attraction are the pier, extensive sandy beaches, fresh fish, seafood, the lifeboat Museum and cliff walks leading to a pictureque lighthouse. We went for a walk along lovely streets and lanes with good views of the town, sea and beach. After that we had lunch “ Fish and Chips” in a famous fish bar called “Mary Janes”.
It was a nice and quiet trip which everybody enjoyed very much.
